3.5.0 RELEASED!!


Finnaly, 3.5.0 released!

It has been a while but since summer vacation exists we have took a pause to relax and enjoy the summer.

Well now we are proud to announce that we have a new update and well enjoy it.

The update will be released to everybody the 27th. For now you can acces it on our patreon, wich you should subscribe to to help us with developement!

Changelogs:

  • GOODBYE SMM_WE FOLDER On Android, the dedicated SMMWE folder in device directories will no longer be used; everything will now be managed in-game (loading/deleting levels and textures).
  • Improved statistics for World Levels. There will no longer be inflation of attempts or deaths, which will improve the representation of difficulty over time.
  • UI improvements and a new options tab to manage your textures and more.
  • Double confirmation before deleting a level from the guardbot added.
  • New NSMBU backgrounds, with vertical parallax and special effects
  • Added the option to save password. (Thanks Les :D)
  • The login button now redirects directly to World Levels.
  • Fixed crashing when interacting with Spike Ball and Muncher.
  • The game camera no longer has issues with enemies such as those that disappeared. (Thanks Geoblue!!!!)
  • Fixed the static bug with the Lakitu.
  • The Skull Platforms no longer have collision issues.
  • Visual quality improvements were made to several appearances.
  • Game credits were updated.
  • A cooldown was added when Mario dies in the game title; you now have more time to press the buttons, just like in SMM2.
  • New music was added, which will be released in the next version. (Thanks Manunu and Salvadorban :3)
  • Other issues were resolved to improve the gameplay experience.

Warning ⚠️ This version may have bugs because I haven't had enough time to thoroughly test everything, especially on Android, so I'll leave the following considerations:

- If you get the following error when trying to import a level: **File doesn't have .swe** (or similar), try shortening your level name. This can happen on newer Androids.

- The option to export levels offline was not enabled because we couldn't find the necessary extension to do that on Android. All of these bugs will be fixed soon in a new update coming in less than a month, including other things I can't mention right now.

- The bug with levels larger than 1MB was not fixed; that will also be addressed later. For those on Android, the SMM_WE folder **has not been lost**; it's still with you if you've installed SMM:WE before. However, thanks to the file system change, you'll need to import your levels to continue accessing them. From now on, **you must back up your levels before deleting or updating the version** (for now, only by upgrading your level to World Levels). You can keep the SMM_WE folder, but it will no longer be used by the game. (On PC, there are no changes to the file system, but they will share the same functionality as Android.)

The ground and background textures have been changed, so custom textures may appear buggy. A new updated template will be released soon with the necessary details to adapt them to this new version.
